Helping Neighbors Outreach was established as a ministry of King of Kings Worship Center to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Rooted in compassion and guided by our faith, this outreach exists to share God’s love in practical ways by caring for those who are struggling and offering hope through action.

Our goal is not just to meet physical needs, but to build relationships, restore dignity, and remind every person that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

We believe that serving our neighbors is a vital expression of our faith and a powerful way to bring light to our community.

In the early 2000’s we owned and operated the Port City Java cafe on Mine Brook Road across from the Bernardsville train station. Those years of serving and interacting with the Bernardsville community created a love for the people of Somerset Hills.

COVID-19 and the challenges that followed have deeply affected the lives of many around us. In these difficult times, our sense of community matters more than ever because when one of us struggles, we all feel it, and together, we can help each other heal and rebuild.

“So which of these do you think was a neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him. “Go and do likewise.”
